ESTBarreiro/IPS is involved in two programs which promote staff and student mobility:

Setubal Polytechnic has participated in the Sócrates-Erasmus program since 1997, while ESTBarreiro began its involvement in the 2002-03 academic year.
The institutions with which the college maintains mobility protocols are:

niversidad Politécnica de Cartagena, Catalonia, Spain;
Anadolu Üniversitesi, Turkey.
All staff and students may participate in Socrates-Erasmus activities although there are certain restrictions. Student study programs may range from 3 (minimum) to 12 months (if a three-month study placement is included). For teaching staff missions are normally of 5 days duration, including a minimum of 8 hours teaching, but may be extended up to a maximum of three weeks.
